Geto Boys at the House of Blues on July 4th: FREE!

What better way to spend July 4th than seeing Houston music royalty? Geto Boys’ set at Free Press Summer Fest ran into some trouble when Bushwick Bill was detained for drug posession. FPH has just announced a make up show at the House of Blues that will feature all members, and it’s free if you RSVP now!

On June 19, Andrew W.K. will sit down behind a drum kit and proceed to bash the skins and cymbals for an uninterrupted 24 hours. Andrew will go for the world record drum session during the O Music Awards, which set out to “honor artists, innovators and fans impacting today’s music and culture.

“I’m calling upon all the positive party power I can summon from above and below, from inside my own soul, and from the generous energy of all the amazing drummers who’ll be playing with me. Please give me your strength, so I may not only endure this ordeal, but make it an inspiring team achievement for us all! When it’s time to party, we will always drum hard.”

Kim Deal Quits the Pixies -

Remaining members “wish her all the best”

We are sad to say that Kim Deal has decided to leave the Pixies. We are very proud to have worked with her on and off over the last 25 years. Despite her decision to move on, we will always consider her a member of the Pixies, and her place will always be here for her. We wish her all the best.
